Play Read. React. Release. drill video

In this drill, players exchange quick one-touch passes while reading the defender. When the defender commits, the shooter must recognize the available shooting lane, adjust their puck position, and release.

Coaching takeaway: Great shooters don't just have quick releases. They read pressure, find shooting lanes, and adapt their release to the situation.
