This drill challenges players to execute three different shot types in one continuous sequence: pulling and shooting the puck while skating backward, moving it laterally from the backhand into a forehand release and attacking the net with a pull-in shot.

The larger focus is learning to adjust your feet, hands and release as the shooting situation changes. Players are encouraged to keep their heads up, prepare the puck efficiently and release it without overhandling.

Those details translate directly to games, where clean shooting opportunities rarely come from the same angle or setup. The objective may also change with location: shooting to score around the net or getting the puck through traffic from the point.
