Build Outside Edge Confidence

Jonathan Larsson
Rögle BK Coach & Read & Act Player Development

Your outside edges show up everywhere—from tight turns and crossovers to stopping, starting, and changing direction under pressure. The more comfortable you are on them, the more options you have when a play changes.

Jonathan Larsson’s drill challenges players on one leg at a time. That isolates the outside edge and tests their balance before they cross over and transition to the other foot.

Start with controlled reps, then build speed and intensity as the movement gets more comfortable. The goal is to trust your edges when you need to react in a game.
